PROJECTS IN MELBOURNE

Rostill Court is defined by its simplicity of form, a limestone block complimented by aluminium roof and entrance elements.

The spatial arrangement is dramatic but human in scale; the large volumes are balanced by more intimate zones. The inherent features of natural materials have been used to improve the general environment quality.

The result is a timeless and considered residential design.

Neo-Georgian fantasies, Tuscan replicas, Rococo palaces and other historically inspired extravaganzas are generally favoured by those with the means to indulge their taste. Not so for Andrew Norbury, architect and chief executive of the award winning architectural firm Metier 3.
Designing modern, as opposed to fashionable, architecture and interiors is what Norbury and Metier 3 are passionate about. So when it came to design his family home, Norbury created a truly modern mansion. A classic construct in ther Armani as opposed to Versace style. Metier 3 is reowned for its commercial flair, commitment tot eh envionmental sustainability and undertstanding of the long-term consequences of design.
