PROJECTS PHOTOGRAPHED BY SHARRIN REES

This was a renovation on a house which already had a good 'bone structure' which needed some tweaking.

The level of craftmanship, detail and careful planning in this project was enormous.
Iain Halliday wanted to enhance the graphic nature of the 3 bedroom, freestanding house which entailed demolishing all the internal walls.

This served 2 purposes
To reinforce the symmetry of the buildings' facade and to create a ground floor with twin living areas (informal on the left, formal on the right) seperated by a large curving staircase
The renovation also brought light and space to the house - creating cross axial view.
The deliberately neutral finishes and furnishings thoughout allow for the clients extensive colelction of antiques and colourful modern art.

A contemporary classic design
