PROJECTS PHOTGRAPHED BY MONTY COLES

What used to be a mechanic's garage was turned into and undeniably cosy home for Jill and Ashely, their daughter Sunday and Russian Blue cat Pascal.

The Space question is very long and narrow, with concrete flooring and 10 metre high ceilings. Downstairs created a open plan living/eating area, with a scrumptious galley kitchen at the centre made from stainless and chocolate coloured cabinetry.

With so much height there was plenty of room for two levels upstairs, and the rooms are connected by a central walkway. The first level is home to the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with a small deck leading off it.

The second level has one large room sloping roof space that Jill uses as her home office. A large airy space, it has views across the city and a mix of new and old décor that gives it a functional but relaxed feel.
