Built in 1967, Australia Square remains one of the most distinctive buildings in the city of Sydney. Its circular form defies the rectilinear habits of the modern city.
Inside, though, the tenancies were often oblivious to the building's curves.
The new fit-out for Grange Securities by Bates Smart goes with the form of the building rather than against it.
Bates Smart was engaged by Grange Securities to design their office fitout in Australia Square. The new fitout had to accommodate present needs as wel as planned future growth.
The reception and plubic meeting rooms were designed to reflect the professionalism, substance and capability of the organisation. Warm stone was used on the floors and feature blade walls for reception and waiting areas, with lighting creating drama in the space.
