Woollahra Village House by Tobias Partners
Tobias Partners’ design of this contemporary home maximises natural light and a tranquil courtyard garden, within the densely terraced streets of Woollahra Village in inner city Sydney. Its humble proportions and forms complement the adjoining terrace houses, while its modest footprint and two-storey height is designed to maximise natural light. This home has been simply furnished inside and out with classic Knoll pieces. See Saarinen’s Womb chair in the library; Platner’s sculptural wire dining chairs and armchair in gold finish together with Lissoni’s Avio sofa and Grasshopper coffee tables completing the open plan living area; plus fresh white 1966 outdoor settings in the courtyard by Richard Schultz.

The decorative pattern of Sciara Opunthia only becomes visible when fired. These table tops by Paola Lenti are crafted from lava stone and glass, using deep knowledge of materials and how they transform - a process that captures the unique colour, texture, and transparency of each top.

Epicurus in Copenhagen, designed by GamFratesi, is a restaurant and jazz club inspired by ancient Greek vases and classical craftsmanship. Housed in a former military gymnasium, it features smoked oak inlays, travertine stone, and custom lighting that blend historic references with contemporary Danish design.
Hand-drawn motifs of dancers and musicians, inspired by Greek pottery, are reinterpreted as intricate wood marquetry. The space combines tactile materials and acoustic elements to create a warm, immersive atmosphere where food, music, and design meet in harmony.
